Zan-i- keh Mikhaham (The Woman I Want) is a multi-vocal performance in Farsi of a remixed text including poems, letters, essays and speeches by Zandokht (1906-1951), radical feminist poet, women's rights organizers and publisher. The piece has twenty-seven scenes and is written for six voices. It was first workshoped and presented independently the summer of 2020 by a trans-national and trans-generational group of Iranian womxn of different socio-economic and professional backgrounds.
This work can be re-produced as a live performance through workshops. The 2020 performance is available for screening as a 60 or 69 min single channel video.
