dreams reload (2019)

Dreams Reloadis a series of audio portraits exploring personal and social narratives of abandoning, renouncing, departing from “dreams,” the ideals once aspired to and held dear. The portraits were recorded in 2011 in Bulgaria at Goat Milk Festival. They document how Bulgarians had to change their identity, and their ways of understanding themselves and the world after the fall of communism. At a broader level, they portray how we cope when we face the impossibility of an ideal, or come face to face with it turning into or leading to something other than what we had hoped for.

Dreams Reload is available on podcasting platforms and on the project's website.
